Diving Certification

Diving certification only takes three days. The course involves some bookwork, instruction on equipment use, and diving techniques. Getting certified can be a fun experience and brings the opportunity of meeting fellow divers.

For healthy adults over fifteen the certification is as an open water diver. Divers under fifteen can certify as a junior open water diver. Those looking to instruct will need the master scuba diver trainer certification.

Classes can be signed up for online- some even allowing the book work portion of the class to be completed online. The best place to sign up for classes though is at a dive shop. Dive shops offer lessons for all skill level along with secondary certifications such as cave diving or wreck diving. Plus it’s a great way to network with others who enjoy the sport.
